Thank You Secret Pal

Oh Boy!

I had such a wonderful surprise in the mail yesterday! We just had gotten home from picking up 3 Navajo Churro's. Yes Churro's! I took a class on preparing different fleeces and the instructor, Abi, had some Churro fleece. I fell in love with the feel of this wonderful fiber...... very strong and substantial. I don't think I would want to wear this next to my skin, but for making blankets or something strong, this would be wonderful. Currently there aren't any registered breeders here in Iowa, so I'm hoping to get 2 of these beautiful sheep registered. They are already bred, and one is due to lamb soon, within the month.....

anyways back to my package! I had a box.... Hum I haven't ordered anything, what could this be? I open it and the first thing I see is a bar of chocolate. My most favorite chocolate, dark chocolate with crystallized ginger. Oh yea! Then I open the card, and yep. This is from my secret pal. What a cute card! It has a picture of a poncho, with the instructions written inside. The note also told me my yarn is BL, and its green plyed on gray..... Just beautiful and so much! We were to send 30 yards I must have gotten 3X that amount. A huge thank you. Then get this! She also send me a beautiful skein of sock yarn! Oh my secret pal rocks! You spoiled me gal. Plus you were the icing to a wonderful day. God Bless You

When my computer gets fixed, I'll post pictures of my yarn and new sheep.

Happy New Year!

I would love to post some pictures, but my computer is dying a slow death. The UV or whatever ports are dead. My hubby is waiting for a recovery disc, so he can reinstall them. If that doesn't work, then the poor thing goes into the computer hospital....

anyways, I just won a new spinning wheel on eBay! I can't wait to try it. Very original looking, and its right here in Iowa! So hopefully I'll get the wheel soon.

I'm busy knitting felted slippers for my Godson. I'm hoping to get them done by this weekend. Then I'll make a pair for my hubby and Dad.

I delivered my roving to Maggie at Prairie Land Herbs. Just walking into her shop is such a treat. The place smells wonderful, and I had a nice collection of fun things to give my kids for Ephinany like lip balms, and nice smelling soap and powders....

Until next time- God Bless
