Sold my first sheep

Today I sold my first sheep. It was my ram from last year. I was sorry to see him go, but with 3 other rams, it will be hard keeping everyone seperated. Plus there is the issue of feeding hay to everyone this winter. We kept everything we baled this year, and we still might need to buy some, depending on how cold it gets. Napoleon is his name, with a wonderful set of horns, and all black. A real sweet heart, though a bit skidish. He has a nice home, and some nice ewes to get to know. I'm sure he'll have a lot of fun this breeding season. Good-bye Napoleon. I'll miss you. You were one of my first sheep...

PIcture of Hannah with Poncho

A good friend asked to see Hannah wearing her Poncho. Here she is. She wears it almost all the time. Unfortunately its been a bit on the warm side here. Hopefully she won't be sick of it when it really gets cool.

Thanks for looking

Poncho

Well here is a poncho that I spun and knit. My first BIG project, something bigger than socks, hats or scarves. The white came from my Icelandic Sheep, Snowball and Rebecca. The blue came from Abi, from High Prairie Fiber. I think she called it Turquois, but its really much more, white, black and different shades of blue... though it looks homemade I am quite proud.
